Shifting
II Corinthians 4:17, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and external, weight of glory.”
Greetings all! It is another day to bask in the fact that we were given a new day! As we trust God to carry us through today, let’s talk a little about shifting. When we became believers, our whole outlook on everything began to shift, to change in seemingly drastic ways. Nobody could deny that your character has changed, your attitude changed, your new way of living life became noticeable to anyone who came into contact with you! Spiritual transformation has taken hold of you pushing you toward faith, trust, openness of God’s grace and mercy; just more positivity in everything! The willingness to be all that you can be for God is now your new perspective and the shift will be an ongoing work of continued faith. There will be a shift in your thinking, your reacting, your need to have alignment with God; you will take off the old self and work to be the new improved self! II Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”; do you believe you are shifting? Have you placed your life in Jesus’ hands so He can begin the process of change within you? Can you feel your fear has shifted to confidence; your pain to positivity; your pride to humility? Are you ready to shift to the disciple that God wants you to become? We are no longer victims but are now victors in Christ! As you envelope this shift towards the work of God, your whole life will take on a happier, joyful, full of life demeanor that will flow outwardly; showing others a new you! Even as you journey, there will be trials, pains; but you are shifting for the better and your approach to anything in your walk of faith will seem minute compared to the rewards of trusting in God! Think of the shifting like the gears of a car; every shift gains you movement forward, and with God the road is open and waiting!

Precious Father, today we want to thank you for the shifting of our trust in you. Thank you, Father, for the unconditional love you give, the mercy and grace you give. Thank you, Father, for your presence within our hearts that helps heal, change, and direct our paths and wants toward that heavenly home with you. Please Father, continue to guide us as we journey toward you. Amen.
