Dealing With Disappointments
Psalms 121:8, “The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”
Welcome friends! Say hello to this day that God so graciously has given to each of us today! Have you paused yet to spend a little quality time with God? Always remember that when you first thank God for the “waking up”, your day is truly headed in the right direction and the devil will be hit on the head so that nothing he throws your way will make contact! As we look at the title, we are brought to the thoughts of disappointments, but we don’t want to let them bring negative vibes into this new day. We only want to touch on how we can work through all things by giving them to God! Everyone has or will have moments or times that do not go as we planned or believed that they would turn out. But, we must never let that discourage us in our walk with God or with the faith, trust and love that God provides. The scholars and the Bible say that our disappointments help develop maturity of our spirituality, they refine our faith, and they push the reliance on God and not the circumstances that surround us! Even though you experience disappointments, God already has a plan; He wants you to know that they are only temporary; that calling on Him will help you to endure. When you find yourself in the depths; take a moment to remember how Jesus’ emotional state was as He waited on the time He was to be taken, then tormented, then hung on a cross. He lamented in prayer to God, asking that it be taken from Him, yet knowing that the sins of every human being was going to be alleviated by His suffering! Psalms 30:5, “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” No pain, no trial, no disappointment will endure forever; but the love of God brings you peace during, and joy after. Check your disappointments and look for the goodness that came after; the part that got you through! Dwelling on what has been will only take away the joy of what will be, so push those thoughts of the past back, and look toward the future! Call on God and He will answer, He will console you, He will show you the good that comes from dealing with disappointments with His help!

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you, for your continued presence in each of our lives, in each of our hearts and souls. Thank you, Lord, for all the disappointments that lead us to you, that teach us you are the one way to endure anything this world throws our way. Help us, Lord, to understand that disappointments only lead to successes. Please keep helping us to find you at all times and through all times. Amen.
