Don’t Be a Victim, But a Victor
Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
Hello again friends! Welcome to this positively blessed day that the Lord has graced each of us with! May today you find peace, joy and acceptance to all that the day holds. Our prayer for you today is that you finally can accept you ARE the actual victor of all the times society or the trials of this world made you feel a victim! The true prayer for today is that you have put aside the “victim” mentality when you brought Christ into your heart and life, thus extinguishing anything negative the devil uses to draw you away from God! The biblical perspective is to begin overcoming with learning forgiveness; not for the circumstance or person; but for you, your peace depends on showing heartfelt forgiveness so you will no longer dwell on that trial. As you grow in your reliance on God, He will guide you away from any bitterness, helplessness and even self-pity! If we read the Psalms, we can understand how during David’s journey, he found peace; those experiences will give you that same knowledge of how to become a victor. Take a moment and go listen to the song Mandisa performed, “Overcomer”, she is right on every verse! Then, take a moment and read the story of Joseph; how his victimization made him a victor. Genesis 50:20, “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.” God will use anything you have been through to form goodness, to make something even better, to provide His will to bring about change for the better! If you read the story of Job, he lost everything, YET God turned it around and gave more, because Job trusted, believed and served Him. Start focusing on your own reactions, your own repentance, and your own obedience, and push aside the things that were meant to break you; they are meant to mold you into the disciple God has destined you to be. When you find you are slipping into the wrong mindset, pause, pray, then think of Jesus’ hanging on the cross after suffering constant victimizing; yet He thought of you and I; He became an overcomer of sin and the grave to be the ultimate VICTOR! Change your goal from being imprisoned in victimization to freedom, hope and a life with God that leads to ultimate victory and a home in GLORY! Share that testimony of your trials, your overcoming, and your victory; God will use your victory to bring others to the fold!

Heavenly Father, we come now to thank you for all you have given us, the grace, the mercy, the unconditional love. Father, thank you for your son’s sacrifice so that we can have victory over sin and the promise of eternal life with you in heaven. Thank you, Father, for the words written in the Bible that can guide, teach and show us how we can overcome anything with your help. Amen.
