Setbacks of Circumstance
Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives I me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” ESV
Good morning all! Welcome to another blessed day the Lord has provided! We want to only bring positivity into this day so even the bad things will become good! Waking to a new day should be a sign that we go straight to God and give Him thanks for allowing each of us to have another moment! Each of us have circumstances that may put us into negative thoughts, but when we call on God, He can bring back that joy, peace and comfort that we need. Most believe that setbacks are just the delays that will build better characters, bring a deepened faith and will also redirect us to God’s purpose. We must also renew our faith in understanding that setbacks are not defeat, but a stepping stone on our path to eternity. Everyone has a choice in how we perceive a setbacks outcome; whether we gain traction on the climb or whether we sit back and let the devil sneak in to destroy what God has planned. To win the battles that pop up during our journey here, we must ask God to help us, to give us the knowledge and strength to endure. When we become disappointed, rejected, or lose our direction; the devil jumps in to try and deceive us; taking away our hope and our trust in God! We must fight with the armor God provided; read Ephesians 6:10-18, each piece of armor designed by God will definitely provide the skills that can overcome all setbacks! Having setbacks will test your faith, but it will help you develop perseverance, learn to be mature, aid in your spiritual completeness! Every person God chose in the Bible had setbacks, times of doubt and times of discouragement; yet, each put their trust in God and followed His guidance which led to victory, not only in battles of war but the battles of their inner souls! Check out Joseph, whose own family sold him, check out David who sinned greatly, or Paul who had to be blinded to see the light! Each follower of Christ then and now will have setbacks; but, it will be how you decide to choose; trust God or remain defeated! So, today, as those setbacks arise, are you going to have faith and trust in God to bring you through? Choose correctly and watch the setback become a comeback!
