Jehovah Jireh
II Corinthians 9:8, “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.”
Morning friends! Glad to find you waking to this new day that we want blessings to fall upon! May God take you now into whatever the day holds and give you positive vibes to help you feel His presence during every moment! As we look at today, have you ever wondered about certain names that people gave God during the world’s existence? How they found meanings that touched their lives and made them feel those emotions, those that felt God was so much more to them? Any time that the name of God was altered in the Bible, it became a significant reasoning for why. Today, the name Jehovah Jireh touched my thoughts and I needed to see the significance of its choosing. Scholars and translators say that it means “the LORD will provide”, or as “the LORD will see to it”. We often see that God can and will anticipate your needs, He provides both physical and spiritual salvation, and He works in His perfect timing not ours! Jehovah Jireh came about with Abraham who trusted God, had the faith to do God’s will and then did God’s bidding. As he was on Mount Moriah, God provided a substitute sacrifice for Abraham’s son which demonstrated His faithfulness to those who truly believe. This substitute also was an aforementioned prophesy of when God would later sacrifice His own son in our place. God not only provides for the fundamental things, the minute things for each of us; He provides the ultimate needs for our entry into eternity. Our acceptance of salvation ensures that Jehovah Jireh can and will provide all the things He deems necessary for us to be cared for, to help us grow in faith and trust, and then to enter into the gates of heaven! As you pray daily, say Jehovah Jireh so God knows that you understand He is the provider of all things, then thank Him for being the one true God, Jehovah Jireh!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you, for all that you provide daily so that our lives are better, that we are protected, that we are blessed and loved by you. Thank you, Father, for the words in the Bible that give us knowledge on how to trust and obey you. Help us, Father, to continue to call out Jehovah Jireh and acknowledge you as the one true provider of all things. Amen.
