Hear The Roar
John 16: 13, “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”
Greetings everyone! It is another blessed day that we have been given! Though the weather may be cold, muggy, dry or sunny; we have been allowed another day to be all that God intended us to be! Today, let’s talk on how we hear God, how we recognize His voice, or hear His calling on our lives. Many times, in the Bible, God had to use a mighty voice, a violent show of power, loud supernatural events, because His people were stubborn, doubtful, unbelieving. Like people today, we are not satisfied with His words only, or other people’s words, or His knowledge, or others sermons. We want to SEE proof, when there needs to be no proof; there needs to be faith, trust, confidence in His will, His teachings, His power! There are scientist, scholars, archeologist; who have found proof, found Noah’s ark, found Jesus’ empty tomb; but people still do not hear God, hear the truth, believe in the Almighty God of creation! Jesus taught how His sheep hear His voice and come, then follow. We recognize voices, just like a close friend or family member; we recognize God’s intimate voice; that voice that comes through our relationship with Him. God will communicate with us directly, giving a sense of peace, confidence, tranquil stability! When we let the world use distractions, it becomes difficult to hear God; this means we need to find our quiet place, focus on Him and hear what He has to say! Be careful of your own desires, discern that the voice you hear is God, not the devil using distractions to lead you out of God’s protection. Seek confirmation of God’s voice by going to your consistent Biblical principles in His word, through prayer, through fasting, through the faith and trust that has helped you survive this world; open up to His voice by blocking out anything that is not of God. Isaiah 30:21, “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left”; meaning, when God’s voice beckons you to listen to His instruction, take note, trust Him, let Him lead you in the right direction! When you hear Him, whether it’s the raging storm, or the still quiet voice; listen intently and hold His voice inside your heart; let Him enter and connect, then guide! Make yourself become aware of Him in your internal soul, Hear the Roar!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come now thanking you for your presence in our souls that prompts us to listen, to believe, to comprehend and follow. Thank you, Father, for your continued guidance through our journey here on earth, and preparing us for our eternal home with you. Help us Father, to discern your voice when you speak to us and to push aside anything that is not you. Amen.
