Building Houses of Wisdom
Psalms 18:2, “The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn f my salvation, and my high tower.”
Hello friends! Praying this is finding you waking to positive thoughts and welcoming this day with joy! Today let’s talk on building and wisdom; checking to see how each works together. This may seem like it is only for family units, but building a house of wisdom is for ALL homes! As a believer, we are taught to build a foundation not only in our spiritual faith, but also within our home. When people enter your home, they need to feel a sense of stability, of love, of care, of wisdom; all of which will later be a part of the family you build! Like Jesus told Peter, “Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”, which means, when we allow Jesus to come in and teach us the knowledge of God’s commandments, the rewards of following/living like Christ; nothing can come against us that we cannot handle! As we learn, we find that wisdom initiates building, but the understanding secures the foundation, then knowledge fills that structure with lasting values! Our structure of family or home should show us and others that love of spiritual, familial and moral values are the beginnings of building a house of wisdom structured through God. Building a house of wisdom requires each of us, whether single or married, to work a process that must be ongoing, must be practiced, must be full of study, full of faith and trust. If you take time to search the word for the Seven Spirits of God and the Seven pillars of the Gospel, you will find what a house built on wisdom needs so it will be whole. Each of these intertwine together to help us to grow in spiritually, in faith, in a hope of an eternity with God! The man who built his house on the sand couldn’t survive because the sand washed away; but the man who built his house on the rock stood firm! Today we need to take a moment and check our own homes, our apartments, whatever our residence is, and take notes on whether our home is spiritually, emotionally and physically safe from the wiles of the world! Have we chosen to be full of God’s wisdom of one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism and ONE GOD? Are we choosing the Spirit of the Lord, and His wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge and fear of the Lord? Let us take today and work on building a house of wisdom that is pleasing to the Lord!

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for sending your Son to teach us all that we needed to be better disciples for you; for His sacrifice on the cross so that we could be saved and promised a home in heaven. Thank you, Lord, for providing the words in the Bible that can train us to build houses that are protected by your wisdom, that teach us the knowledge of becoming better believers, full of trust, faith, hope and the need to bring that knowledge to others.
