Deuteronomy 28:9, “The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.”
Morning Friends! I do pray each of you are waking to a new day with new possibilities and the newness of new things! Let’s look at having a better mentality as we enter each day; one with an abundance of good things! As we start our day we should all try to have an attitude that shows generosity, gratitude, humility, and a trust in God to help us navigate whatever may come our way on life’s journey! Most biblical scholars agree that having abundant thinking is not just positive thinking but “faithful thinking”! This actually means we trust in what God can provide; not the earthly possessions we may have gained over the years, but that God will multiply our abilities to be used by Him! Like Jabez, whom God listened to, whom God used his talents and knowledge as a teacher, scholar, to train others about the power of God and how God can bless even the smallest, lowliest all because they have faith. When we have a faith even as small as a mustard seed, God sees that and blesses it and will multiply it over and over! God saw a country boy from the hills of North Carolina and took him and used him as a powerful speaker, minister and a worldwide evangelist to preach the gospel! Rev. Billy Graham had faith, trusted God, and believed in what God could do; so, he did what God called him to do. Mother Theresa gave up middle class wealth to become a nun, then lived in poverty among the homeless of India helping those with nothing, spreading love and care to those in need because she felt a calling from God; she redefined charity. She did what God led her to do! There are so many others God chose in the Bible as well as in our history, that he gave a humble mentality to, an abundance of courage filled with faith and trust. He gave because He knew they would continue to do His will; to continue spreading the message of His love and how one day we all can spend eternity with Him in glory! Where is your abundant mentality today? Do you have faithful thinking in all your plans for today, tomorrow and the future? Are you asking God to do what Jabez asked God to do? When we change our thinking to the thoughts God wants us to have, great things can be accomplished and others will see good things become great things! Stop for a moment today and see where your abundant mentality is headed; try humbling yourself to God’s standards and see if blessings start falling all around!

Heavenly Father, we come now with gracious hearts asking for forgiveness for not using the abundant mentality you have given each of us. Thank you, Father, for your words in the Bible that can help teach us all the knowledge we need to endure this world. Thank you, Father, also for your saving grace and mercy that gave us the opportunity to become born again; to now be able to be disciples for you, to spread your message all around the world. Help us, Father, to use that abundant mentality to further your cause as we continue our journey until we meet you in eternity. Amen.
