Quality of Religions

Acts 20:28, “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.”

Hello friends and welcome to another beautiful day God created just for you and I! Praying this finds you already finished with your morning chat with God and you are feeling positive and refreshed and ready to face the day! Every day we are pummeled with religious choices, tons of religions, mega churches; just millions of people trying to find the “true” religion. But, as true believers, our choice of a House of God isn’t the problem, it’s whether that church is a Bible based, Bible believing, God trusting, God following House! James 1:27, “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” Can every church, or religion say this? Can every believer live this life? True worship is inward and transformative, it centers on mercy and humility, it’s putting faith and trust in God, no matter the circumstances. Always be careful of false prophets, or idolatry, or practices that are not Bible based. Another way to tell if someone is Bible believing is to watch their life; watch how they live in regards to doing what God called us to do; the way they treat others. True believers won’t give you false hope, false faith, speak untruths, or hurt those who are less fortunate. Mega churches use music, concerts; but be sure that their songs imitate God’s words, God’s teachings; that they live and follow the commandments He gave and what He said a House of God should be! It isn’t about putting on a show, but showing God’s love! True worship comes from inside; inside where God brings His presence to help us grow in faith. Choosing a religion will take research, watching, listening; letting God show you the place you need to be to become closer to Him. If you find a church, ask the pastor, the song leader, the deacons, some members and see if their answers coincide with God or if they conflict His teachings. If they show you acts of justly actions, loving mercy, and they maintain a Godly purity; then it just may be where God is sending you! Be bold in finding that good church, not perfect church, no church is perfect, but it is supposed to be God’s house! Remember that religion has to be God’s religion!
