Nothing To Prove, Nothing To Lose

II Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Hello friends! Welcome to another blessed day God is providing so that we can enjoy and possibly share the words, actions, that could bring someone else this same joy of living in Jesus! As we navigate our lives, we often think there is going to always be something to prove, something to express; just looking for approval in some sort or other. Again, we were not created to find ways to please anyone here on this earth. What could we actually gain by believing that the opinions of others will get us to heaven? In what capacity will someone else’s opinion or thought help us to gain salvation, trust God, obey His guidance, or even succeed as a Christian, a disciple of God? Yes, God gives ministers, pastors, evangelists the messages, words to say that can open up feelings and emotions that trigger our need to receive God’s call to becoming forgiven, saved and redeemed. But, who ultimately provides the knowledge used by each? Every person that provides you with crucial advice, shows you their experiences; all trusted God, relied on the path He chose for each of them! Each of us should never focus on performing for human approval or believing that they hold the key to how your life is planned out. Rev. Billy Graham was a great minister for God, but he never asked any of us to prove ourselves to him. He knew “from whence cometh my help”; He followed only the God of creation so that the promise of the Father would be fulfilled when he was called home! Yes, you should do your best at anything you are involved in, like career, education, sports participation; always pushing yourself to do better in anything you want to succeed with. But, yes but, never allow yourself to think you need an approval of another, only God. Do it because God is leading you toward a heavenly home! You have nothing to prove here to this world; you only need to show God you accept His call; nothing to lose but everything to gain!
