Don’t Count Me Out
Psalms 34:18, “The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”
Greetings dear friends! Let’s take a moment to be thankful for God’s grace and all that He gives us. As we wake, and start our day, let’s allow Him to enter in with His presence, His guidance, that will bring positivity to every moment we experience today. As you look at the title, think about good things you have been blessed with and how each was because you counted, you were enough, you endured! So many times, we let the devil deceive us into thinking we don’t count, we are not enough, no one loves us, we can’t fit in to that group, or our past defines us. The devil is a lie! You are valued, full of potential, and have a purpose under God’s grace. Even when you are told you are not worthy, God sees you, fellow Christians and believers see you. God tells us in His word that even when we fall seven times or seven times seven, we will rise again, because the one who is in control will provide, protect and lift you! God doesn’t choose the equipped individuals, He chooses individuals whom He can equip to do the work. We can be counted on because God finds your worth because we are His children, we are not in need of anyone’s approval, nor their opinions of us. God will never abandon His people; this is His promise. He doesn’t promise that life will be easy; but He does promise that He will be beside you no matter what you go through along your journey. When you forget and let the world tell you that you are a failure; stop, regain your focus and pray; then study in His word to find every called person in that word. Read their stories of rejection, denial, disappointment, pain, suffering; their belief that they were not good enough; then read how God used them for His purpose! Study how those who others counted out, brought mighty changes to the world! Open your eyes to see that you are His; you cannot be counted out! Psalms 139: 14, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” David wasn’t perfect, but he was perfect for the plan God laid out! Chose today to not be counted out!
