Instructions
Proverbs 19:20, “Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.”
Good morning! Welcome to this day the Lord has made! May we each pause first thing this morning to meditate with God and receive His blessings for today! The day can be completely changed just by asking for God’s instructions first before even looking at our schedules for the day. Sometimes, it’s all about the waiting, but know in your heart that God makes decisions based on His timing and not ours. What we may feel needs to be done “right now”, may be something He knows cannot be rushed! When we look at Biblical instructions, we know that God commands that we use divine guidance from Him because many times the natural way just might be needing a “God moment”! Examples like Peter and the nets during fishing, or water turned to wine, or three men in a fiery furnace joined by a fourth! Instructions in the Bible are precise, proven and ultimately cannot be denied! Obeying God’s instructions are sometimes classified as: immediate, strategic, conditional, sacrificial and also long-term. Samuel gave us the Proverbs; which God spoke as wise instructions to be accepted and to fear God. God’s instructions are meant to separate believers apart from others, provide peace through obedience, then bring true understanding of Godly ways. Example like; would you fly a plane without training and instructions? Probably not, unless it became an emergency; but even then, you would require instructions! Could you build a house without the blueprints and necessary instructions of every detailed part? Are you leading your life in peace by listening, studying the word, and following a Christ-like life? Can your children, grandchildren, family, friends see you following the instructions God provided in your life today? Living a life filled by God’s instructions leads to a stable, sometimes chaotic, but always at peace, full of love, gaining blessings, and a heart longing for heaven! So, today, don’t hate the instructions nor the time that may have waiting; love what comes after the learning and trusting from that instruction!
