Doing All Things Through Christ
Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
Hello everyone! Welcome to another glorious day! Why not begin with positive thoughts and let God help us to enjoy the moments that this day will bring! Today we want to acknowledge that we can be “Christ-sufficient” and that with Him all things are possible. When we begin to allow Jesus to enable us to trust in Him and grow in faith, we have altered the way we live in so many ways. As we open up our hearts to all that God provides, we can survive any obstacle that falls in our path. So many times, each of us has spent time trying to be self-sufficient and found that things just don’t work out, they get all twisted, they turn to a sinful path; and we get discouraged in anything we try to do. Paul wrote Philippians 4:13 when he was in prison and subjected to ill treatment and when it looked like the end. In the chapter, he was writing to the church and explaining that, even in the midst of troubles, God never fails to be with us. That when we trust in God, allowing Him to keep us secure, safe, loved; nothing evil can win; that staying faithful during trials is mirroring the life Jesus endured! If Jesus could survive, so can we! This verse tells us the lesson to learn is that we can thrive emotionally and spiritually even when we are enduring trials just as well as when we are in good circumstances. Doing all things through Christ is the safe way to find endurance, stability, satisfaction, peace and joy! When you are in doubt, trust God, when you are successful, trust God, when you are in mourning, trust God; all things will be achieved as long as we trust and obey God! If we falter, and have doubt and cannot find the strength to do something, stop; take time to call on God; then accept His strength to enter in. He will provide the strength you need in whatever you are attempting, great or small. Think of all those people God chose in the Bible to help Him deliver His message, His promises; some were uneducated, some were adulterers, some were murderers, many were poor; BUT God chose them; and He provided all they needed. So, today, if you have a moment of doubt, pause, remember who gives all you need; then allow Him to give you the things that will help you achieve whatever is in your path!
