Can’t Win Alone
Isaiah 41:10, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Greetings friend! Another day to be happy, blessed, and highly favored! I’m sure you have heard many people answer you with that same quote! Having that type of positive demeanor can change not only your day but also those around you. Everyone was designed by God to actually be interdependent, which is, they rely on Him and on others for strength, encouragement and protection against any spiritual diminishing. We as believers are taught that we are all part of one body; the body of the church; God’s church. Each member of the body has different attributes that are significant to how the church functions and grows. We each have a God given talent that we are to use, whether in church, at gatherings or to further our careers. Believers cannot function alone; we must all work together to achieve the goals that God has ordained us to complete. John 15:5 Jesus said, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit for without me ye can do nothing.” When we work as one body with all our different strengths and limitations, we find that they only work best when God is in control, working through each part. If you think on anything you have accomplished, succeeded in, goals you’ve reached, or even things your children are succeeding in; you will find that God gave each the talents, the brains, the intellect, the capabilities and talents to us all! Nothing was ours until He decided it would be; His grace, mercy, and abundant love and protection has given us all things and by working along side Him we have gained more! Just like running a race; until you trained, timed yourself, pushed yourself, ate right, hydrated correctly; you would not have been prepared to endure that race! As believers, our faith, trust, obedience, our studying His word, our loving of others, giving of our time; we could not be true Christians or disciples for God! Everything requires knowledge, workmanship, stewardship, self-discipline, perseverance, ambition, even motivation and encouragement of others. If we get slack or we start thinking we can do it on our own to build on what it takes to succeed, whether in our daily lives or our spiritual growth; we will fail every time. Without God’s involvement we are nothing! If we remain steadfast to Him and all that He teaches, nothing can stop us or harm us! So, if today you find yourself wondering how you can get to the next level, get that task achieved, stop for a moment and ask yourself if you are doing it on your own? Or are you going to put your faith and trust back to the one who can help you? Sometimes, even the smallest of things, can’t be done alone!

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for not leaving us alone to fight against the evils of this world. Thank you, Lord, for your Son who gave everything so that we might live. Help us, Lord, to understand that we can do all things through Christ who is our strength, our shield, our protector and our Lord. Thank you, Lord, for the Bible that holds all the needed knowledge to find you in our time of need and that will aid us in reaching out to those who need salvation. Amen.
