Can We Deny It?
Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Good morning everyone! May this day be all that you need it to be! Be thankful constantly for everything and in everything. This morning let’s think on denial; on whether we are putting aside our feelings of belief. Maybe let’s emphasize on whether we promote a steadfast faith, on whether we are aligning our lives to be Christ-like, or are we denying the path God has planned for us. Most people will find that they are in denial of many things and will possibly not realize they are denying God also. There will also be people who will tell you that living a worldly life isn’t denying God, that it’s okay to do wrong, to act wrong. But, we must remember that Jesus said that when we acknowledge God before others we will be acknowledged by God; He also said that when we deny God in front of others, God will deny us as well! In other words, we should never keep our love of God secret, hidden, or talk against what we really believe just to “save face”! If you proclaim you are a Christian, a born-again child of God, but you still live in disobedience thinking that one time is okay, no one will know, or I’ll be forgiven cause it’s not that bad; you are in denial! God doesn’t want a half-hearted follower; He doesn’t want someone who stays on the fence, afraid to acknowledge Him in all things. You gave Him your heart and soul, you asked Him to change you from within; yet you are afraid publicly to show how He has blessed you; you aren’t giving Him the glory in all you have, succeed in, or receive. If you have wondered during those times you passed on sharing or acknowledging and then bad things started happening; do you not believe that God is showing you consequences? When you falter, God will falter; your faith under pressure is why God is ever-present! What problems you have come from disobedience, denial, rejection; no matter how small, how simple, they come because you are not doing what you are called to do. In realty, wouldn’t you rather suffer with God than without Him? When you take a moment and think of eternity, are you not thinking of the day of judgement and hearing God say “well done”, or are you still denying and about to face Him hearing “depart for I never knew you”? Make a choice today, stop being worldly, stop denying God!

Prayer:
Father God, we come today asking for forgiveness, asking for help, reaching out to you for the strength to stop denying you, to stop denying our salvation. Help us, Father, to reach deep and find you in our hearts and souls; to pull that understanding of all that you have done for each of us. Father God, we acknowledge you, we want to work harder at showing our salvation, living our salvation, sharing our salvation. Father, please guide us, push us, lead us to stop denying the one true God, you. Amen.
