Blessings Fall On Me
Luke 6:38, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
Good morning! So nice to see that someone else is awake and ready to start this new day with positive thoughts and actions! As we move toward the beginnings of the day, let’s not forget to be thankful that God gave us a new day! Today, I would like to take a few minutes of your time to ask you about your blessings! Do you ever wonder about just how many blessings God has provided all through your life? Maybe, as we have prayed, then felt a sigh of relief, we just pondered on how even the smallest need was met and that it may not have been prayed for, but God saw a need and blessed you anyway! Have you been surprised by an individual who provided something that you didn’t think anyone noticed or knew you needed; but they somehow provided that need? Lots of things come about when God uses “angels unaware”; those people who He places thoughts on and they just know He wants them to be a part of that need! The Biblical views express that blessings are God’s active favor, His life-producing power, His covenant of love; just His way of extending beyond the material things to produce a spiritual uplifting and remind us of eternal hope! And do you believe that blessings are not given to take away hardship, but an extra bit of joy God knows we need to bring about joy and peace during those times? Scripture tells us that giving is connected to receiving; that God will bless those who bless others! This also means loving and blessing those who do us wrong! God’s preference on blessings is more about the spiritual connection; the feelings of gratitude that you could meet a need of someone besides yourself! The emotional rush that your heart will feel after doing something special or just out of the blue for another, is exhilarating! So, in other words, God gets two people filled with blessings! As you go through today, just ponder on your blessings, even the small ones; then think of someone who might need a blessing to fall on them! Maybe find time to bring a small blessing to someone you know, or even a stranger; the rewards are worth it!

Prayer:
Precious Father, we come now thanking you for every blessing you have bestowed on us so far during our life journey. Thank you, Father, for the teaching of giving is better than receiving; that blessings can be received as we share a blessing. Father, continue to bless us with the right gratitude, the understanding daily of how blessings really come to us. Help us Father, to look beyond our needs to what another my need, and to act upon that need. Amen.
