Beyond the Path

Psalms 16:11, “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

Hello friends! Morning to each and every one of you who opened their eyes to a world of new ideas, new emotions, new places, new jobs; the list goes on and on! May we all find joy in the little things that come our way in every moment of this day so that we can look beyond what we already have been through. In our journey that we are traveling, maybe we have only looked straight ahead so that we couldn’t get side tracked or disoriented. But, at some time, did we venture to take moments to ponder on the ideas that would enhance our journey? Did we take time to call on God and ask if any of our thoughts or ideas would align with the path He has provided? We possibly already realized when we ventured off the path and into choices of our own choosing, the journey became riddled with pain, struggles, negative influences and nothing turned out the way it should have. Each time we fought hard to get back to the original plan God had given us and things begin to steady itself and start getting better. But, as always, the devil hates for us to get joyful in the Lord and so he throws a few more obstacles, a few more enticement beyond the path that entices our minds into wandering off to the wrong way again. Before long, everything gets negative again. Why do we let the world bring us to a point of negativity? How can we get to the point of positive thinking that can overrule the devil and all his enticing antics? Positive thinking is found in positive actions! Continued prayer life, with continual study of God’s word makes for a necessary building of one’s knowledge into how to divert away from the negative. Surrounding ourselves with those who are devoutly trained, taught, devoted to God’s work, will enhance the characteristics that we need to grow in our own spiritual lives. Many times, we are told to not think of tomorrow because it isn’t here yet, and this is true. The truth of this is that we do need to think of what our future in that tomorrow holds as far as where our eternal home will be. Our souls being saved and headed on the right path in judgment is definitely part of our tomorrows! Beyond the path of our journey is where we will spend eternity; whether it will be in heaven or whether it will be  in hell. Having ideas, thoughts, opinions, quest, during our journey keep our focus on the right path securing our jobs, our earthly endeavors. But, beyond the path, we must think also of the joy that will await us in our heavenly home! Working here with positive actions, thoughts, that include God; gain us more coverage on our path and make the journey smoother! Why not trust in the one who can keep the journey loaded with the ways to clear all obstacles with positive actions!

Teach us Lord, to trust in your promises and when we falter to the wrong path, help us Lord to hear your voice and turn back to the way that will lead us to you.
