Be The Light No One Ignores

I Peter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

Good morning everyone! Greetings on the beautiful day the Lord has made and that He has blessed us with. May today be the day that your light shines so bright that others will have to know what your secret is to keeping that light so bright! I’m sure many are saying that they are not a light of any sort; that they are not able to bring that kind of positivity into the moments they go through. I beg to differ, I believe we all have a light within us that no one knows about but God. He can see the light that shines within our hearts; the light that will ask Him for direction, for peace, for joy; the one that will give you a reason to keep going! God knows more about each of us than we do ourselves; the inner part that He created that has been stifled down and now needs to break out of the dark and shine! Once you place God at the helm, give Him the authority to bring His plan into action; you will begin a new you, a new life, and new beginning. Jesus came down to earth to be the savior of the world, the light that would heal all darkness. As we reflect on Christ’s life, His mission, His character; we will find that He brought us a light like no other! He gives us the opportunity to do good works, live truth, have moral integrity, influencing an example of God’s love. We are to be a reflection of Christ; to mirror the life He led so we might one day be in heaven with Him. As believers we are to be noticeable to the lost, because we avoid the works of darkness by our good conduct, our good works; lives that mirror Christ. Christ light brought us a better way of living, trusting, obeying, and finding a true meaning of Christianity. Like the old hymn, “Let others see Jesus in you”, we are to shine with His saving grace, His continued mercy, and His unconditional, never ending love! As we start living a Christ-like life, others will notice, they will not be able to ignore the changes, and then they will want to know how they too can be a light in this dark world. Just like that little song for children, “this little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine”, stop hiding it under a bush and get it out there for the world to see! Show God you want to be a light that no one can ignore so He can shine brighter!
