Sing Your Song
Psalms 96:1, “O SING unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.”
Hello friends and welcome to today! Doesn’t just knowing you woke up to another day, just bring joy to your heart? I am sure there are people who don’t like music and singing; to them I wish they could feel the joy that it can bring them! Whether in sorrow or in happiness; there are songs and music that have been created to give us solace and joy. Songs of sorrow give us a gateway to those things or people who are no longer here. It provides an outlet of emotions releasing endorphins that cause our pain to disperse to places unknown! The words fill us with the presence of God; to allow us closure; to help us continue on. In joy, music and singing release endorphins also! Praising God, or singing of all God has provided gives our spirit a sense of outpouring emotions that we have to share. Every song, whether religious or not contains the deep feelings of what the writer was feeling or experiencing. Those words connect to others because they felt them also, but just didn’t know how to share them. Singing those happy dance worthy songs give us pleasure in that our excitement and joy needs to be shared with others. Maybe that happy song is uplifting and brings you away from all the sadness that has taken over your life! Worship in song and music lifts the soul from just inside to reaching high to God, and allowing Him to see your joy in knowing Him! Praising Jesus for giving us the gift of salvation is another way of showing others just how marvelous life can be with God inside you! Whatever music or song lifts you; sing it, play it, share it! If music is how you can bring someone into the fold of God’s arms, then sing your song!
