Psalms 1:2, “But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”
Hello friends! I hope this is finding you positive, full of blessed thoughts of happiness and good things for this day! Today, let us talk on meditating and how it can help us with our spiritual growth. Not everyone takes time to truly get into the word of God and that is disheartening! For the believers of this world, our growth in faith, trust, obedience, spirituality, depend on our knowledge of God’s word and His teachings. When we are not proficient in that knowledge, how can we share the truth of His promises to others or to those who are lost? How can we be the stewards, disciples He called us to be, if we are not totally informed in His word? Yes, there is something to be learned every day, but are we taking the time to dwell with God in a quiet place reading and studying, showing ourselves willing to meditate and internalize it so we can transform our thoughts, our character, our actions and our reactions with this knowledge? Just by writing, I have found so many scriptures that have illuminated my understanding of God’s word and have been enlightened on so many levels! Just to be in the word will give you so many positive feelings of uplifting, of grace, of encouragement! You can find so much strength to overcome circumstances, temptations, to let go of worries, to succeed in life, to gain power against the evils of this world! Meditating offers deeper understanding more so than just studying alone, because you are one on one studying with God Himself! Joshua 1:8, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Right there in that verse, God proves that, if we just read, study and do, we can succeed; He makes the way so we can go the right way! Start today and find your quiet time, whether it is in the morning or in the evening; but find your time to meditate on God’s word, the word that can lead you to all things, all ways, all success through His power, not your own! By God all things are possible, total dependence on Him is the only way through this world and on to our heavenly home with Him. Mighty meditating is the only way!

Precious Lord, thank you for the Bible that gives us the way, the truth, the life of words, promises and the way to salvation that only comes through the sacrifice your Son gave for each of us on a cross. Thank you, for the knowledge you provide that can help us to make it through this world until we meet you in heaven. Help us daily to meditate on your words. Amen.
