Drink From the Right Well
John 4:14, “But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
Morning to everyone! Today we want to find the right well with the right water! Every day we find satisfaction in so many types of drinks! From coffee to tea, to sodas, milk or milkshakes, even flavored water! But do we realize that these types of drinks only satisfy the craving? The thirst? What if drinking from the right well means something so much deeper than simple cravings? We want to drink from the well that will fill us with the everlasting thirst quencher! Many times in the Bible God provided sustenance and water for his people; whether on a long journey, through an endless drought, or because it served His purpose at that moment. So, did Him supplying that need at the moment quench their thirst or just leave them wanting more? Reminds me of Home Alone when Kevin ask the thieves, “Do you guys give up, or are you thirsty for more?” Their thirst for revenge outweighed better thinking! Often God revealed His purpose or life lessons by using parables. Once you read through them, decipher the text, then a whole new realization appears! When we keep searching on our journey through life, we are seeking an inner filling that will be deeply invigorating! In Psalms 55 and in Matthew 11, God reveals that He can handle anything you have weighing on your heart/life. With Him you can find a peace that will enable you to drink from His well. He can provide the instructions that will complete your inner thirst and you will no longer need anything else! Today let us drink those other liquids for cravings of the body, but focus on the real thirst of our hearts and souls! Let’s drink from the right well!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, today we want to thank you for the well of real living water! For your grace in providing the right well for us to be filled with your ever-loving presence! Lord, please keep filling us with your words, your guidance; so we can never thirst again! Take us through our journey with your grace and love. Amen.
